Meara O. @ 31 Weeks Pregnant

About a week or so ago, Meara and I finally got to bring our idea to life. I have always wanted to paint on a pregnant belly, and she let me paint a pumpkin on her with spray paint, eye shadow, and eye liner. About an hour later of getting baby girl O moving around as I painted on Meara's baby, we had a pregnant belly pumpkin painting ready to be photographed! In December, we are expecting this little princess to make her debut, and I am anxiously awaiting to know what her name will be! Here are some of my favorites from our shoot:

Meara, it was an honor photographing you in all of this beauty. I look forward to meeting Baby O soon!

Benjamin, Baby Boy of Molly & Andy

I had the wonderful honor of photographing one of the most loving couples I've ever photographed a few months ago. They were expecting their first child, and I've never seen any two people showing so much love in the excitement in them becoming parents soon. Yesterday I got to photograph their beautiful baby boy, Benjamin. Mother and father looked great, and again, showed so much love. Paternal grandmother and grandfather were there, which was wonderful to photograph them as well. Here are just some of my favorites from our shoot:

Please excuse how random this is, but I absolutely ADORED the cats they had. I had to make a portrait of each of them. They're just wonderful, and they made me realize how I miss my Vinny Magoogoo back home!

Molly & Andy, congratulations. May your love you have always be just as full and warm as it is today in the next seasons of your family's life. It's so beautiful.

Always,

Nan + Nathan

I have known Nan and Nathan since at least middle school, and they've been together for years. I always wondered if they'd tie the knot, so it is an honor I will be photographing their wedding in April! For their engagement session, Nan wanted to go to Savannah, GA. The last time I went to Savannah, GA, was for a wedding and I didn't quite get to see the beautiful historical city which reminds me so much of Charleston, SC, where I lived for about 3 years (and visited while I grew up in my home state). Mama was a wonderful assistant, as she always is, as we walked all over the city of Savannah to get our images of the loving couple. Below are just some of my favorites!:

This was taken in front of the home Nan grew up in, right in my home town! I am sure this magnolia has been here for many many many years!

Nathan previously was in the Marines (thank you for your service!), and now he is a fire fighter. The fire department of Savannah was kind enough for us to use one of the trucks as a great prop for them!

I look forward to photographing Nan in her bridal gown and next year photographing their big day! Y'all are beautiful together, and I thank you for being such wonderful subjects!

JS, Abi, Lex, & Elijah Lee

I had SO much fun photographing the Lee family. It was an extremely hot and humid time for our session, but they worked so well. This is probably one of my favorite if not THE favorite of mine for family portraits. Here are my favorites from our shoot:

Elijah found out he did not like the dry grass AT ALL and made sure he let us all know it. I personally love each person's expression in this image. So much emotion!

It is always beautiful seeing y'alls family. I love the aura your family has. It is wonderful.

Rachel & David expecting little girl

I photographed Rachel & David near Lake Murray while I was in SC. This very spot was where I learned how to swim (not drown, rather) as a surprise back in 2005 from my friends. Rachel looks just like my good friend, Alison, who is her cousin. Rachel is expecting a baby girl very soon (if I remember correctly, her due date is October 11). We luckily got some great shots right before the sun completely said good night to us! Here are my favorites from our shoot:

Congrats Rachel & David on your soon-to-be lil' bundle of joy!

Lauren & Chris + precious Ashlynn

I have known Lauren for quite a few years now, yet I never hung out with her. I knew of her and was extremely proud when I found out a beautiful woman like her went into the Marines (yeah, the gorgeous gal who is in these photos was in the military)! Her husband, Chris, is still in the Marines and I'd just like to give a quick Thank You for all that you do!! They have a beautiful little girl named Ashlynn who I also had the privilege of photographing. She can walk, so you have to be quick with the camera, but when you can distract her, you can just eat her up in the images of her (well not literally). I was in my hometown, Batesburg-Leesville, South Carolina, for these images and I actually got to meet the owner of this property of cotton fields and muscadine vineyard. He is one of the well-to-do folks of my town, and luckily he was very easy going and allowed me to photograph in his beautiful fields (I'm also thinking it had something to do how he may have known my dad as well). Here are some of my favorite images from their shoot:

Looks like Ashlynn wants to drive the Bobber herself!

It was great finally meeting y'all, Lauren. What a privilege to photograph such a beautiful family! Thanks!

Ashley with her son Gabriel

I have known Ashley since high school. Her little boy is quite the charming subject to photograph! He is very inquisitive and when I saw his red hair, I was anxious to photograph him. The following images were my favorites from our shoot together:

Mandy & Charlie

Mandy & Charlie have known each other since they were children, and little did I know they actually knew a few people I went to school with in Gilbert! I feel like this shoot was truly successful. I could tell just how in love they are, and I hope to my viewers they can clearly see it as well! They're such a beautiful couple to capture, and I am excited to say I am honored to photograph their wedding in April. They're so easy-going, despite the drizzling rain which invited itself to the shoot (you'll be able to see it in some of the images below). I was thankful I was behind the camera for this weather, but they never faltered with amazing smiles and charisma. I photographed them on my family's farm, and I was so grateful they were so excited for this location! They fit the environment perfectly, and definitely added more style to the place! So, enough typing and enjoy these images which are some of my favorites (click on the images to make them bigger)!

This Chevy was my Great Uncle Socko's, and I'm sure he would have been pretty happy to see a beautiful girl around his pick-up truck.

To end the images, I thought about adding a couple of funny ones. Mandy thought it'd be a good idea to skip, but Charlie thought otherwise, haha. I thought it would be cute to have our farm duck to be with them, but she too thought otherwise and quacked herself out of that idea.

Mandy & Charlie, I look forward to your wedding in April! There's so much love to photograph with y'all. Mandy, I'll see you in a few months to photograph you in your beautiful dress.

Always,
Des'ola
