Maevis K. Six Days New

I have known Lisa & Michael since high school, and I've had the privilege to photograph them when they were dating for around one year, when Michael proposed to Lisa, their engagement session, Lisa's bridals, their maternity shoot, and now their first born's first photo shoot. I would have photographed their wedding, but I was actually in the wedding party! I cannot explain how it makes my heart full and happy knowing I've photographed them in some of the most momentous occasions of their lives. I am elated for them, especially Lisa because ever since I've known her as a teenager, I knew she wanted to have a family. Seeing this dream fulfilled of hers just makes me smile with her, and Maevis is a Blessed child to be in a family with so much Love. Here are some of my favorites from our session:

To Lisa: Thank you for finding me all those years ago on AIM Messenger to exchange poetry. I thank you even more for choosing me to be your friend, and I'm even more thankful to know our friendship is still strong despite our lives being in different zipcodes as we have found love and progressed through our seasons.

Always,
Des'ola

Alma & John S.

I've photographed Alma before on a few occasions, and all were awesome. On this shoot, I got to photograph her and her new husband, John! Congratulations, by the way. It is always an adventure when I photograph Alma (and/or her twin, Beatrice, too!) and we got to photograph in a 70+ year old house their father was actually born in! This house had so much history, and I could have spent hours in there if possible. We also photographed in front of a building in the town we went to high school together. I've drove past it many times, and seeing the arches within the building always made me think, "That would be a fabulous photographing location," and they gave me the inspiration to remember I wanted to photograph there. What a treat. Here are some of my favorites from their shoot:

Thank you so much again for giving me the honor to photograph y'all in your love.

Always,
Des'ola

Nan & Nathan

Last year, I had the grand privilege of photographing Nan & Nathan's engagement portraits, bridal portraits, and then their wedding. They've been a joy to photograph, and I was blessed to photograph them again in the southern heat of July! We rocked it out, using Nan's parents' home. Here are some of my favorites:

Thank you so much again!

Always,
Des'ola
