This year is almost done, and I'd like to share some of my favorites within this blog. From photographing the Change of Command of the USS Missouri SSN 780, the gracious honor to photograph the home birth of the Kubiak's, and the privilege to photograph numerous families from return clients to new ones, I'm truly Thankful as I look back on these images. It was sublime to photograph families in Connecticut in the beginning of 2015 before we moved to my home state of South Carolina as I then got to photograph familiar and new faces. Without further adieu, here are some of the favorites I got to photograph within the 2015 year:
I look forward to photographing YOU in the new year!
I have known Melissa since elementary school, and we had not seen each other since high school graduation. It was an absolute joy when I heard she wanted me to photograph their maternity portraits because maternity is one of my favorites. We photographed on their property, and I cannot tell you how many times I have passed by their house from the time I was little in a booster seat 'til now. Her husband's family home was built in 1921, and their newest addition will be the 7th generation living in the home. The wood on the barn and surrounding buildings was just so fun and full of great textures. I also want to give great props to those who built those buildings because they are holding up strong! Without further adieu, I give you just some of my favorites from their session:
Melissa and Chris, I give you much congratulations on your soon-to-be addition. Fowler is going to be Blessed to have parents like y'all.
Carla was my teacher for a few classes when I attended the Art Institute of Charleston. She was a very fun teacher, and I'm grateful I have kept in touch since graduation. A month or so ago, I was a guest speaker in one of her classes, and it was a wonderful experience to speak and interact with beginning photographers to help get their creative juices flowing!! I'm always thankful for my clients, but this year it was humbling to photograph the photographer I interned for & assist with now and her family and a teacher and her family this year. It's kind of a moment where you feel like you made it, so Thank You for helping me feel this way. Anyway...off track for a moment... here are some of my favorites from our session!
Thanks for sharing this beautiful location with me, Carla. Photographing your family was so fun!
Anytime Alma asks to do a photo shoot of her family, I'm always thrilled. Whether it was her and her twin sister, Bea, or with her husband, John, or her family, it's always a joy (yes, all of the combinations!). It's also difficult to narrow down photographs in sessions. She is one of the many returning clients I have I'm Thankful to photograph the different seasons of their life. Here are some favorites from our last session!
Obviously Alma knows, but I want to thank her again for the privilege to photograph her family!
