Almost a week ago, I got to photograph a family I've known since we lived in Connecticut because of the Navy. We then both traveled to the same state (at different times) where we made a session together. It was an honor, and also exciting for me as a photographer because I got to use a prop I had never used before. It was difficult to narrow down some favorites from this session, but these are the ones I'm sharing with all of you this evening! There is also a select one which is not featured on this blog on the website at www.desolaphotography.com.
I call this one, "The Awkward First Date".
Thank you, Elizabeth and Joseph, for the honor of photographing your family! So fun!
I photographed the Shealy's about a year and a half ago, and this past weekend I got to photograph them again with another baby girl on the way soon. Rae was a classmate of mine at the Art Institute of Charleston, so it's been a joy to photograph her family in precious moments such as this. We got to photograph in my hometown right beside a muscadine vineyard, so the smell was amazing. It was very humid for October, but we rocked it. Here are some of my favorites from the session:
Thank you Rae and Adam for giving me the privilege to photograph your family again. I am wishing you tons of luck on the soon arrival of your second baby girl.
